With our unique test facilities and well equipped analysis laboratory we offer chemical analysis of air/gas, gas-tight sediment sampling and material off-gas testing. We are accreditated for parts of the methods/analyses.

Material testing and analysis - offgassing
Material off-gassing is the process of releasing gaseous species previously contained in a non-gaseous material into an atmosphere. At our specialized facilities, we offer off-gas testing of simple materials and larger components in various atmospheres. We are accreditated for parts of the methods/analyses.
Chemical analysis

Environmental monitoring and analysis
NUI does measurements and analyses for environmental or other chemical purposes. These services are mainly provided to the onshore and offshore industry, but we are also supporting private customers if required. Our laboratory and test facility is equipped for testing and analysis of gas, chemicals and equipment. For subsea sediment testing NUI has developped our own completely closed system to avoid any contamination. We are accreditated for parts of the methods/analyses.
NUI laboratory accreditation
Our laboratory is equipped with the following instrumentation:
- Gas chromatography - mass spectrometry with thermal desorbtion injection (ATD-GC-MS)
- Reduction gas analyzer (RGA)
- Fathom system
NUI analysis laboratory is accredited by Norwegian Accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for two methods:
- Active sampling of VOC from gas cylinder to adsorbent tube
- Analysis of BTEX taken on adsorbent tube
